Teri Murakami is a photographic artist. She creates beautiful images
without paint; using her imagination, the camera and light as her medium.
Teri uses photography to tell a story. She captures the romance, honesty, emotion
and joy that every couple experience on their special day. She takes the time
to focus on the little details surrounding the Bride and Groom that
will later touch the heart, rekindle a joyous memory and bring a wistful
smile.
Today, photography is a huge part of Teri's life. She was raised in an
artistic family; her Grandmother was a writer, her mother was a painter and
even her teenage daughters are artists. Teri has worked her way to photography,
gaining experience in many different artistic pursuits over a very varied career.
Perhaps the greatest influence in Teri's photography flows from her 20 years experience
working as a top make-up artist, with a client list that included many large society
weddings to polishing the stars for their silver screen moments.
Teri understands, perhaps better than most pure students of photography, what it takes to
communicate a woman's inner beauty and personality and allow both to shine in images.
Teri's style of photography is based on a personal approach and she feels it important
to get to know the bride and groom ahead of the big day. She encourages couples
to have an engagement portrait session before the wedding, this allows everyone to
get to know each other and feel relaxed, allowing Teri to capture the images the couple will love.
